I had this coffee maker for over 2 years. The only reason I'm purchasing a second one is that I broke the carafe. Otherwise I would still be using my old one. I am really happy with this unit. It is small and compact, makes great coffee (I'm always getting complements)and it has other features that work for me. Some of the other reviewers complained that the coffee drips out onto the counter when pouring. I have found that if hold the top lid open with my thumb and then pour it does not drip.

I bought the Maxi-Matic EHC 2055 Elite Cuisine 10 Cup coffee maker. I am a coffee addict, so after having my espresso machine bite the dust 2 lattes in, I was super excited to receive this coffee maker in the mail. My distress upon realizing that it wouldn't turn on (it was broken?) was pretty serious. Luckily, I can return it almost hassle-free using the Amazon return policy, and I am off to buy a french press this afternoon.
